What’s the most exciting thing about being part of the Nashville tech industry?

Our team members participate widely in the community to give back and help build the tech scene, including with the Great Nashville Technology Council, Nashville Software School, Women in Technology, Hackathons, InfoSec advisory for City of Nashville, Tennessee CIO and many more.

How do you foster creativity, collaboration, and inclusion?

The Dollar General technology team has invested several years to create a very unique technology structure and work processes in order to achieve not only performance excellence, but to reinforce Dollar General as an employer of choice. We operate every IT domain area in entrepreneurial fashion, operating as businesses within a business. This allows every team to create their own vision and to become deep knowledge experts in that area. We support and supplement that with training and resources, including culture training and specific inclusion training and programs. The IT structure is specifically designed to enhance and require excellent collaboration so no team operates entirely on their own.

The Dollar General IT team exhibits humble professionalism at all levels. As a Fortune 112 company with the second highest market capitalization of any company in the state of TN, the team let’s results speak louder than their voices.
